COLLEGE READY NOW - COLLEGE TOUR
YAF College Ready Now - College Tour
College selection ranks as one of the major decisions a young person is asked to make. A college degree positively impacts a person's esteem, employability, and earning potential. It is never too early for students to start thinking about career aspirations. The core of college planning starts in the 7th grade. This is the time that students should start examining their concerns, interest, and strengths to determine their future career paths.
Every student has a unique gift. When these gifts are nurtured and cultivated, their family, community and country will be the beneficiaries. The recognition of a student’s gifts, will give them insight into their interest. This insight is the first step toward developing their purpose. Hence, the motto for YAF College Ready Now is “Discovering Interest to Manifest Purpose”. In order for students to discover their interest, the YAF College Ready Now program encourages them to become good decision makers.
YAF College Ready Now college tour provides cultural and educational experiences that inspire students to: examine concerns and personal interest during the college selection process. It is our goal that once a student completes our program they will be able to select a college and a major that leads to a fulfilling future.
YAF College Ready Now believes that every student must be committed to maximizing their potential. This program is designed to support schools and other educational programs in their efforts in preparing students to successfully handle the complexities of today's society and to enhance their self-confidence, motivation, and self-esteem. Additionally, the program helps students formulate positive personal values and assists in the development of social skills, life skills, and good character traits. Our society will be better when talented individuals are working and excelling within chosen professions.
